Cover Your Acres- With Cover Crops
Cover crops have been growing in popularity in our area. With farmers paying more attention to soil biology and sustainability, we have seen an influx in acres covered with cover crops every fall. We have an interseeder that is attached to our high clearance machine that allows us to seed covers into standing cash crops. We also know that at harvest there is a shortage of labor, so planting cover crops in a timely manner can be a challenge. Our machine is set up to broadcast seed on bare ground in a 120-foot pass.
